Siscoserv

Siscoserv (Integrated Foreign Trade System for Services, Intangibles and Other Operations Producing Equity Variations) is controlled by the Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services (MDIC) and by the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, and it is intended to analyze data relative to the import and export of intangibles – licenses, technologies, patents -, services and mixed operations – involving physical goods and services.

Siscoserv target audience include those who are resident and domiciled in Brazil and that trade services, intangibles and other operations producing equity variations with people who are resident and domiciled abroad, including service import and export operations.

Among the operations controlled by Siscoserv, we can mention the provision or receipt of services, billing of national persons or legal entities located abroad, and hiring of agents abroad.

Siscoserv Modules

Selling Module

This module records the sales of services, intangibles and other operations producing equity variations by those who are resident and domiciled in Brazil to those who are resident and domiciled abroad. This module also covers recording of operations carried out through commercial presence abroad.

Buying Module

This module records the acquisition of services, intangibles and other operations producing equity variations by those who are resident and domiciled in Brazil from those who are resident and domiciled abroad.

Each module has service provision modes identified according the location of the provider and recipient, as established by WTO General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS).

Selling Module

– Mode 1: Cross-border trade;

– Mode 2: Consumption in Brazil;

– Mode 3: Commercial presence abroad;

– Mode 4: Presence of natural persons.

Buying Module

– Mode 1: Cross-border trade;

– Mode 2: Consumption abroad;

– Mode 4: Presence of natural persons.
